The second annual End of the World Marathon is scheduled for December 8, 2013 on the Placencia Peninsula. This year we are pleased to host and announce the participation of Rowan Garel in the 1/2 marathon to benefit The Belize Council for the Visiually Impaired (BCVI).
Fifteen year old Rowan Garel is a visually impaired Belizean young man who has scaled the highest peak in Belize, Mt. Victoria, walked across the country, 92 miles dove the Great Blue Hole this past summer and will now be running in the Placencia 1/2 marathon, all to benefit BCVI.
Please join us in our support for the Placencia Marathon and 1/2 Marathon, along with Rowan's efforts on behalf of BCVI by contacting them and making your donation today.
The entire staff at Chabil Mar was extraordinary. Everyone was willing to go out of their way to accommodate the guests. The grounds are impeccable and the food is top notch. There is not a formal dining area- rather you order food and they deliver it anywhere on the property for you to enjoy, this was amazing!
