Chabil Mar literally means beautiful sea in Kekchi Mayan and is one of the most beautiful properties I’ve seen in Placencia, with a white sandy beach and clear blue water. You know when you see ad copy for a hotel, and you think it’s too good to be true? Chabil Mar honestly looks like a magazine ad for tropical paradise.

Chabil Mar Resort - I stayed at Chabil Mar Resort and Villas. In the Mayan dialect Chabil Mar means "beautiful sea" and yes the sea is beautiful. This resort is one of the best places I ever stayed in Belize . . .

About Us Guest comments
My husband and I stayed there for a week, we are frequent travelers but the courtesy and their desire to make you confortable and happy it goes above and beyond many places we have stayed at. It was my husband's birthday and I asked them to prepare a surprise dinner for him, well I did not expect anything close to what they prepared, a candle light dinner by the ocean with great food and baked a caked specially for him. I dont want to mention anyone specific because I don't want to miss any of the great employees they have from the front desk to the maintenance crew. Thank you to all of you for being the great people you are.
